Surveys, undertaken by a range of independent organisations representing retail and business interests show that businesses are at greater risk of crime than domestic households. One recent survey reveals that business crime cost £660m in 2016 representing a significant uplift on the previous year. As retail crime is increasing more can and should be done to combat it.
